Baccarat

Meatpacking District New York

For Baccarat’s new U.S. flagship in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, 3TO5 developed and installed a custom architectural curtain system in close coordination with Paris-based Moinard Bétaille and general contractor Michilli.

Floor-to-ceiling curtains with integrated lighting

For Baccarat New York, 3TO5 developed the custom architectural curtain system, from detailed site surveying and coordination to specialized fabrication and final installation. The scope included the integration of curtains and lighting, floor-to-ceiling detailing and the precise alignment of the system with adjacent architectural surfaces. Each element was developed to read as part of the interior rather than as an applied decorative layer. The curtain system introduces softness and movement while maintaining the precision required by the architecture. Lighting is integrated into the detailing, allowing fabric, shadow and illumination to work together. The installation was calibrated from floor to ceiling so that folds, light lines and surrounding surfaces remain visually continuous throughout the boutique.

Precision surveying and installation

Much of the complexity happened before the curtains were installed. Accurate site measurements were essential to coordinate the textile system with lighting, ceilings, floors and adjoining finishes. Small variations would have been immediately visible across the long vertical lines of the installation. For 3TO5, the project became an exercise in precision at a deliberately quiet scale: specialized fabrication and careful installation used to make a technically complex system appear effortless.
