Planning
Architectural interiors often require careful coordination between design development, engineering, fabrication, and installation. At 3to5, project development support ensures that these stages remain aligned throughout the process. Our team works closely with architects, designers, and contractors to translate design intent into precise technical solutions, providing the structure necessary for effective millwork project management.
Project managers based in the United States coordinate directly with our workshops in Italy, creating a clear connection between the design team, the fabrication process, and the construction site. This structure allows design decisions and technical adjustments to move efficiently between the project location and the Italian Lab.

Millwork must integrate precisely with the building’s infrastructure. Through detailed engineering coordination, our team reviews construction drawings to identify potential conflicts with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems before fabrication begins.
Working closely with the design team during the shop drawings development phase, we address technical challenges early in the process. This preparation helps ensure that each element can be produced accurately and installed without unnecessary adjustments on site.

Clear communication is essential when projects involve multiple teams and locations. To support this coordination, we use digital construction management platforms such as Procore, allowing architects and developers to follow the progress of the project as it moves from design development to fabrication.
From our US offices, we coordinate scheduling, documentation, and design updates, maintaining a continuous dialogue between the construction site and the Italian workshop.
A central part of our work is maintaining rigorous quality control throughout the fabrication process. Rather than focusing only on the finished product, we monitor each stage of production, from the selection of materials to final pre-assembly.
This includes the validation of material sourcing, ensuring that wood veneers, stone slabs, and metal finishes correspond to the approved samples. By overseeing these technical details, we help ensure that the completed interior remains consistent with the architectural vision of the project.
